The new-generation Land Cruiser 300 is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 turbocharged engine (codenamed F33A-FTV) with a maximum output of 227kW and a peak torque of 700Nm with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Comparing with the last generation, the power of the new model has been increased by 27kW/50Nm, and the comprehensive fuel consumption comes to 8.9L/100km per 100 km. It is worth mentioning that the new Land Cruiser 300 inherits the 3500 kg towing capacity of the previous generation model, and the twin-turbo V6 diesel engine has more towing power than the previous twin-turbo V8 diesel engine
In terms of safety assistance, the new generation of Land Cruiser 300 is equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense active safety suite, which includes: pre-collision system (new detection of pedestrians/bicycles), blind spot reminder, rear moving object alert, emergency steering and collision avoidance function, assistance Steering, lane keeping, ing assist braking system and adaptive cruise control etc.
It is also equipped with a full-time four-wheel drive system with front and rear axle differential locks, E-KDSS electronic power suspension system and variable damping suspension, transparent chassis, creep mode, Tank turn, Multi Terrain Select optimal driving mode, Multi Terrain Monitor and Vehicle Dynamics Management system. In terms of off-road capability, the new Land Cruiser 300 has a wading depth of 700mm, the approach angle is 32 degrees, and the departure angle is 26.5 degrees with a ground clearance of 235mm.
The new model provides 5 multi-terrain selection off-road driving modes (when in low gear) to adapt to different driving conditions: road, rough soil, sand, mud and deep snow. There are also six other regular driving modes: Eco, Normal, Comfort, Sports, Sports+ and Custom, each of which alters transmission programming, suspension settings and engine response.
